OwnVital launches on iPhone August 1 — the waitlist is open
The app that puts your medical records on your phone, organized, answering your questions, and never leaving your device, arrives August 1, 2026. Join the waitlist for one email on launch day.
Short version: OwnVital ships on the iOS App Store on August 1, 2026. The waitlist is open between now and then, and it closes when the app goes live. One email on launch morning; that’s the whole deal.
What you’ll get on day one
OwnVital does three things, and we’ve been ruthless about keeping it to three:
Scan it once, find it forever. Point your camera at any medical paper: lab report, discharge summary, vaccination card, the referral that came by actual fax. OwnVital reads it, files it, and places it on a searchable timeline of your health.
Ask your records anything. “When was my last ultrasound?” “What did my cholesterol look like last year?” You get the answer and the source document, so you can show your doctor where it came from.
Forms fill themselves. You approve. Photograph a blank intake form and OwnVital fills it from your records. You review every field before anything goes anywhere. The waiting-room clipboard ritual, retired.
And underneath all three, the decision that shaped everything else: your documents stay on your phone. Encrypted, behind your Face ID, no account required. Put your phone in airplane mode and OwnVital keeps working; we wrote about why that test matters.
Who we built it for
The person who gets handed the paperwork. Managing a chronic condition across three specialists. Caring for a parent whose history spans four decades. Digging out the kids’ vaccination dates every school year. If that’s you, the first week of records-in-one-place feels like putting down something heavy.
What it won’t do (yet)
Being straight about the edges:
- iPhone first. Android is on the roadmap, not in the launch.
- You bring the documents. OwnVital doesn’t log into patient portals for you; you scan, photograph, or import, and it organizes. (Portals are good sources; download from them freely.)
- Free to try, paid for heavy use. Whole-family record management will be part of a paid plan. Waitlist members hear pricing first.
